Tire Rotation

ROTATING TIRES FOR LASTING TIRE PERFORMANCE

Most drivers don’t often consider the health of their tires. If they’re full of air and get you where you need to go, you may assume that you don’t need to do much else. In today’s busy world, we understand the tendency to choose convenience over thorough automotive care. However, it’s important to consider the impact that travel, age, and your driving habits have on your tires. As the only part of your vehicle that touches the road, tire health is not something you should neglect.

Over time, tire tread wears down. Due to the natural functioning of your vehicle, your tread can wear unevenly. This can be a potentially dangerous scenario if one or more of your tires becomes bald before the others.

Worn tires and uneven tread wear can cause:

  • BLOWOUTS
  • Transmission fluid leaks
  • TIRE NOISE
  • WHEEL VIBRATION
  • DIMINISHED PERFORMANCE
  • HYDROPLANING

How Often Should You Rotate Your Tires?

As a general rule of thumb, we recommend rotating your tires every 5,000 - 6,000 miles (although your driving style and vehicle typeshould also be taken into consideration). Rotating front and rear tires helps to ensure your tread wears down more evenly, optimizing your tire performance and extending their life.
